A corner-stone of the Merrick community and built up from the ground by the women of the Mueller family, RS Beanery of Merrick is somewhere you can not only assume to see a familiar face, but there’s a good chance they remember you too. What all started with a rattlesnake and a love for southern cuisine has transformed into a coffee house with touches of our past honored in our night time menu, cocktails, desserts and decor.

When we say we want to make you feel at home the second you enter our doors, we mean it. Sisters Marjorie and Margaret have given the majority of their lives to the very same community they were raised in. Merrick remains a home to them as they’ve served within it for more than 30 years now. RS Jones founded by Margaret and Carole saw more than 20 years of success and when it came time for Carole to retire, Margaret was ready for a new adventure.

RS Beanery of Merrick as it is now known is under the ownership of Marjorie Mueller with accompaniment from other familiar faces of the RS family including Margaret Mueller, Jane Steiner and Marjorie’s daughter Amanda, all of whom have served within it’s walls at 153 Merrick Ave for more than two decades.

While a lot has changed, a lot has also stayed the same. We hope to see you soon!
